Regulation Model of Religious Rights and Freedoms for Local Religious Believers in the Majapahit Constitution

This article unfolds that the Majapahit Kingdom of Indonesian history has accommodated religious rights and freedom for local believers/adherents in its constitution. The kingdom was known as tolerant, harmonious, had reasonable regulations to avoid faith-based conflicts. finding is significant amid rising concern over respect protection indigenous beliefs contemporary Indonesia. research used normative legal methods with statutory, historical, case approaches. results discussions were: first, weakness constitution’s model regulating freedoms it closed access believers adhere carry out their teachings; second, right needed distinguish status religions Majapahit.
